Can this possibly be the cabin our gang used as our "sugar shack" in the early sixties? We still treasure those memories and we loved working in the student union with Mr. wyland and Dick.

We had a great time at Paradise on the Pine. Our children ages 6,7,9 & 10 had so much fun. They loved the creek and to be able to just go on the bike trail anytime for a short ride with mom and dad was just so nice. They also like trying to kayak as well. Thanks for opening your home for us. We are looking forward to staying again.

Another great 9 night stay on a piece of paradise on Pine Creek. This was our second year rental and was for the same time and number of nights. Since we are local folks only 7 stayed overnight and the rest came up during the day.

We managed a 3 mile trip in 5 kayaks from the mouth of Little Pine to the cabin. 6 of the 9 evenings we had a visit from a Bald Eagle and one night there were 2 perched just across the creek from the cabin.

We were present when the big tree by the fire pit let go and landed in the creek.

A lot of memories were created here this year and we even celebrated our youngest Granddaughter's 13th birthday there with a lot of family members.

Great morning bike trips to Waterville to get morning paper - walks on the rail-to-trail down to the site of the old Scout Camp (Kline) - and a lot of porch time for the older folks.

We have been blessed again by an Almighty God who has give us such a beautiful land to enjoy.

We enjoyed the cabin with our two daughters. It had everything we needed and the property was clean and in great shape. We loved and will be back.

We just came back from a very plesant, peaceful, relaxing week on Pine Creek. The cabin was clean, clean, clean, and well maintained and equipped. The weather was totally perfect including one wonderful rainy day that I spent reading on the porch. After being disappointed by other rentals in the area, I can't say enough positive things about this property! This Florida family will plan to stay at the Wyland's beautiful home in the future.

Just wanted to post a note in regards to our vacation stay this past weekend. We visited the cabin from March 30 through April 2,2012. We had a great time. The space in the cabin was cozy but did not make you feel like it was a small space. We very much enjoyed our local family visiting us here at this property. We enjoyed using the fire pit in the evenings to have a camp fire and we grilled out. The weather was alittle disappointing so we enjoyed cozying up to the fireplace each with a good book or movie. I know my family who visited has already booked for another adventure. Also, it is the perfect distance from town or heading into the mountains, I give it a thumbs up and would go back again. Cheers to all!

Our families are both in the area and for the last 10 years we have been staying with family for Christmas. This year we wanted our own space and to be able to spend Christmas morning as a family opening presents. The cabin was great and we had everything we needed for the time we were there. Look forward to spending time in the summer so that we can take advantage of the water and the outdoor activities.

We stayed at the cabin twice this past summer. Once in August for a large family gathering to celebrated my mom's 80th birthday! Then stayed again in September to rest and recuperate after surgery. Your cabin is so comfortable, clean, and well equipped that it feels like home instantly. We had a great time kayaking, fishing, and swimming. Next time are planning to bring bikes and use the rail trail.

Carl and I both grew up in Jersey Shore and moved away, so for us coming to Pine Creek is coming home! My father spent countless hours fishing on Pine Creek and as a child, my family made many wonderful memories centering around that area. We have enjoyed being able to share those memories and experiences with our children and grandchildren during our visits up the "Crick". We will definitely be coming back. Thank you again for opening your home to us.

We had the most beautiful Columbus Day week-end! The weather was fantastic, the fall foliage spectacular and the bike riding couldn't have been better. The cabin was perfect with all the nostalgia. It was so relaxing after a long ride to barbecue by the creek and enjoy the sunsets. It was truly a great time spent with friends.

What a wonderful week in Paradise. We were blessed with great weather and guests that included bears, deer and Bald Eagles. We were also blessed with great family visits too.

This location is perfect and the cabin is more like a home. We could not have asked for a better place to spend time together canoeing, kayaking, fishing and bike riding the "rail-to-trail".

Coffee on the big porch in the morning followed by fishing or bike riding to Waterville for the paper. Later ladder ball, croquet, badminton, tubing or kayaking. Then evenings for talking or board games (if you can get them off the "Droids" and "touches". "IT" is a blessing and a curse but having WIFI was great.

Loved the kitchen too. Organized and easy to work in. The cast iron griddle made an incredible "cooking platform" for great tasting sausage, ribs and steaks.

The Father of all virtues is "Gratefulness" and we are so thankful for the Wylands sharing with us a piece of their "Paradise". It gave us the chance as a family to spend precious time together. For Linda it was powerful medicine in her recovery.

Thank you again for a place where memories were built that will last a lifetime.

We spent a long weekend here and it was spectacular. Access to the creek is just steps away and the bike trail is a little more than 100 yards. We were here with 5 children and they all stayed busy biking, fishing, canoeing and tubing. The house is perfectly situated on the bank of the creek making it easy to relax yet keep an eye on the kids. The flagstone fire pit is also a great place to spend the later hours. At night, it's a light show. Saw numerous shooting stars.

Amenities aren't far. Waterville is a 5 minute drive for incidentals and great soft serve. Weis Market and CVS are just 20 minutes in the other direction if you need to stock up.

This is a very special place and we'll definitely be returning

Our deepest thanks to you for allowing us the privilege of staying in your beautiful cabin on Pine Creek. No beach, lake, or pool could match the experience our children enjoyed in the shallow and refreshing Pine Creek. When my wife and I were not floating in tubes with them, we could safely keep an eye on things from the cool shade of the yard and stone patio.

The cabin and grounds are well kept and comfortable. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

It was an unmatched vacation experience and we hope to come back regularly in the years to come. We will certainly heartily recommend it to others as well.

Just what the Doctor ordered! Quiet, peaceful, clean ... and beautiful! Wow! We immediately hit the creek and were stunned by the lush green all around with a clear blue sky over head. So easy for 2 couples to share, take hikes, ride bikes, nap, and read. We will be back!

Thank you for a wonderful weekend! My husband and I have in the past been tent campers through and through. With the addition of our daughter though we had been looking for something a little less rustic and more along the lines of a home away from home.

This cabin trip ended up being the perfect weekend getaway for all of us. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. With the creek (which seems more like a river actually) 50ft from the porch it was easy to throw a suit on and cool off in the mild current. The water is beautiful and finding a piece of litter in the water or on the shores would require a good bit of searching. If you are a little more adventurous, I'd recommend taking the innertubes up stream for a lazy float through the picturesque mountainscape.

For those looking for a quiet place to escape the city, this would without a doubt do the trick. I look forward to a return trip later in the summer.

This spot is a gem. Perfectly situated on the banks of Pine Creek making it easy to swim, kayak, fish or just sit back and watch the world go by. If you bike, the Pine Creek trail is just a couple of hundred yards from the house. The bike trail is flat and made of crushed limestone and is one of the most scenic rails to trails stretches in all of Pennsylvania. If you are an early riser, you'll find the mornings on the creek to be very picturesque with a wide variety of birds in air, the trees and on the water. In the evening you can start a campfire in the combination fire pit/patio as you watch night fall.

Tremendous place and location. What's better than waking up and watching the fog lift from the river as you sip a cup of coffee on the porch? Once the coffee kicks in, hop on your bike and hit the trail which is just feet from the cabin. You can walk, hike, bike or run as little or as much as you want. We did a 60-mile ride to Rattlesnake Park and back. Further, the cabin is located very close to a "watering hole" called the Waterville Tavern in Waterville, PA (get the theme?). Finish the vigorous (or leisurely) workout with bites and brews. (Note: there’s a second restaurant/bar within an easy bike ride called the Venture Inn.) It's also extremely convenient to grab the inner tubes, head up river, and float lazily down the river right to the cabin's backyard. And if that's not enough of a day for you, then grill riverside, spending quality time with friends and family near the fire pit as the sun sets over the mountain ranges. ... Are you kidding me? There's no more perfect weekend than this.

Had a great weekend up there -- the weather was perfect, and the location was stunning. It's in a valley next to some peaks, with the creek right out the back door and the bike/running trail just a couple hundred feet from the house. Really looking forward to the next visit!
